“I'm a big fan of This American Life and other similar podcasts but Serial might just have topped them all. The format makes it play out like a police procedural, largely because that's what it is. In depth, compelling and maddeningly shrouded in real-life mystery. The innovation of the story's narrator being as in the dark as the listener is what really brings you on the journey.
