“LOTS of talking NOT A LOT OF CONTENT. Basically chattering to fill time. Always sounds like he’s about to say something super important so you keep listening but doesn’t ever give you important information. If he JUST shared the actual information it would be 3 minutes of content. Probably could be summarized in 2 sentences. I don’t know how his voice doesn’t hurt from emphasizing EVERYTHING. It sounds like he’s trying to sell books that are going to change your life but are just filled with silly examples and talk about nothing. Talking in CIRCLES - going over the same irrelevant context. Like listening to a SENILE person with a lot of energy and conviction. “When I was your age, we had to go to the store up the street and when I was waiting in line I counted my change and then I gave my change to the cashier” A lot of UNIMPORTANT DETAILS. No coherent progression to the point. Never really gets to the point. Wastes your time because he sounds like he’s about to get to a point but he never actually says much of anything.
A LOT of talking ABOUT talking - “I am going to tell you... I am talking about today... What I am going to say”
A lot of IRRELEVANT CONTEXT - “I am here in this place because I am recording it here in this place because I really want to be here I flew here because I wanted to be here and now I’m here in this place that I am in about to talk to you about this important stuff and that’s what I am excited about”
Lots of talk about why what he is GOING to tell you is IMPORTANT “This is super important because... It was so helpful to me... After I did this thing I’m going to tell you it was awesome”
Lots of PERSONAL context “and I was feeling and I am so hot I am sweating, I had this idea about an egg holder, I had this dream, I was like ‘Ok so this is cool’... like the introduction to a YouTube channel that takes ten minutes to talk about themselves because they think people care.
Lots of details without categorizing them “I used this exact term - egg holder - “ but never says “use a two word description of your product.”
This is like listening a senile person with unmanaged ADD trying to give a lesson without a lesson plan. Someone who is slightly schizophrenic and has grand delusions. A sales person trying to sell you nothing. Has no guilt for stealing time or capitalizing on what could only be ignorant naive listeners. Also someone with hearing loss because he talks super loud. Also tone deaf because there is no variations of inflection - just a loud robot.”
