“It’s very difficult to do anything original in the podcast interview format but from listening to the first few of these, I think Alan Davies has done something great.
I think the difference is that Alan is so engaged. He has gone through and listened, watched and researched all the items that his guests pick and it really makes a difference in the conversation. So it’s a real conversation rather than a one way interview situation.
As well as this, the format of the pillars draw things out of the guests that they might not talk about during standard interviews, which makes it all the more interesting.
I had never heard of Walton Goggins, but was one of the most interesting interviews I’ve heard in a long time. Great show!”

The guests are very eclectic ranging from indie music loving ex footballer Pat Nevin to the fascinating Jay Parini.
