Description
Simone Cavanaugh has the ear of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Simone is one of three SHAD alumni or Fellows as they're known on the 26 member Prime Minister’s Youth Council. The Council has been established to give youth a voice in Canada. As you’ll hear in this episode of #SHADSpeak, Simone isn’t wasting the opportunity. This young trail blazer has set her sights on helping Canada design what she says is crucial new accessibility legislation. With an aging population, and having spent years as a child in a wheelchair, Simone says Canada has a lot to learn. Try finding an accessible washroom in downtown Montreal where she’s from…and as you’ll hear, Simone’s candid comment “good luck with that.” Have a listen to this episode of #SHADSpeak.
