Classical Education - What Shook Us?

Classical Education - What Shook Us?

In this episode, we talk about the things that we liked about Classical education coming from our interview with Keren Chu of @raisingcovenantchildren. How it is about instilling virtue and wisdom to both the child and the parent, the flexibility in the books that you read, the more mature learner knowing when to let go and when to persevere, training your soul what to love, cultivation of habits, and remembering that there are objective truths and objective good.

Forest School - What Shook Us?

Forest School - What Shook Us?

In this episode, we talk about the things we and children observe and learn because of what’s fleeting and ephemeral in nature and also the relationship we build with nature when we keep going back to it as something that’s constant; how with nature we are hardened and healed at the same time; keeping the child’s wildness so he can contribute uniquely to the world and how nature always provides. Those and more as we process our Forest School interview with Sharon “Shawie” Cortez of @forestschoolph.

Learned a lot!

Hello, ladies. Im a Filipina mum living in New Jersey. I first stumbled upon Montessori Method in 2017 through Paula’s Instagram posts and I decided right there and then that I will apply Montessori for when I became a mum myself. Thanks for this podcast, I learned more about the Montessori Method and other pedagogies. Truly enlightening and empowering for it opened my mind that no single parenting style or teaching method is perfect. Thank you and more power to your group!
