Great Listen
Love the Mets pod, pretty much my go to for the drive home on the day it comes out. Highly recommend to any Mets fan looking for level headed analysis and perspective in a fanbase that tends more towards the reactionary side. I especially appreciate the good balance between covering the current state of the Mets, as well as their future and the status of prospects.
As such, I do have a question about a prospect. Nick Lorusso was a low draft pick, and I haven’t heard much buzz around him, not seen him on any top prospect lists, etc. I assume most of that is age related, but he hit extremely well in college and seems to be continuing to do so in Brooklyn this year. How long does he have to keep it up before he gets considered a legitimate prospect. Is there any underlying data suggesting he’ll regress, or is he just a flat out good hitter? Any word on his defense at 3rd?
Appreciate it, and keep up the good work.
100% agree.More purple is needed
I was looking forward to the NYM logo being purple on the hat, similar to the icon on social media. I will wait to but the hat until then but the bomber jacket looks awesome l
Loving the blue and orange. Let’s go Knicks and Mets!
Question, why can’t we get rid of Wendle? Seems like every time or most times he’s costing us the game. So far that’s the main person I don’t like from sterns’ off-season pick. I was hoping they would send down Baty for vientos as your suggested
The Mets Pod is Must Listen for Any Mets Fan
The Mets Pod is the best, most knowledgeable Mets podcast going and perfect for any fan of the Amazins’. Last night’s loss may be the toughest of this young season as Severino was simply awesome for eight innings before the Wendle mistake in the eighth and subsequent Diaz homer allowed in the ninth tarnished what would have been a good win. But despite those instances, the real issue seems to be the inconsistent and often times anemic offense, something most fans didn’t think would be an overriding issue entering the season. What do you see as the main reason for its struggles? Because we’ve now gotten two straight eight-inning performances from our starting pitching —something that was lacking the entire year — and barely won either game. Losses like Monday’s happen, yet they sting a little more knowing that they are what may down the road be the difference between this being a Wild Card team or a team that misses the postseason all together. Would love to hear your thoughts Thanks! — Tom from NJ
