Diane’s Filmmaking Mindset
I’m a beginner screenwriter/director. Diane’s Podcast has really spoken to my inner struggles of building up the nerve to get started and then to keep going. I love her motivational speaking style. It’s not about getting jazzed up in the moment only to run out of steam later. It’s about learning how to unblock your creativity, get around self sabotage, and go the distance. Diane’s tips on the craft of screenwriting/directing and her real life filmmaking experiences are invaluable as well! I think more of that is to come. So far (in season 1) the focus has been very much on the mindset needed for writing, directing, and navigating the business. Such mindset talk is often times missing in books, podcasts, and classes on filmmaking. Thanks Diane for helping me get my mind right!
