“If you’ve listened to one segment by NPR, you’ve listened to them all. This podcast falls right in line with the standard NPR presentation, i.e. overly inflected, palatable center-left discourse that provokes little thought. A topical discussion analogous to a coffee table book: flashy with little substance. This podcast (as well as most content created by NPR) is perfect for the more affluent 20 to 40 somethings looking to chat over an $8 coffee before working on their dissertation on something that sounds important but lacks any real world applicability or tangible benefit. This work being spread across a multitude of devices - tablets, smartphones, laptops, wireless earbuds. The best aspect of this podcast is that it offers topics for which one can then do their own research - actually bite into and chew the topic rather than nibble while trying to look pretty.”
