Poor example of a true crime podcast
The ‘journalist’ underestimates her listener’s intelligence and is clearly biased and not impartial at any point during the podcast and tries to lead the listeners opinions towards her bias. She is nice to their face when she is interviewing witnesses that aren’t on ‘her side’ and then criticises them in a side note without giving them a right of reply. Alison displays the dunning Krueger effect at its finest sitting at the top of mt stupid as she explains to a detective how a police investigation should be run. I have sympathy for Gwen’s family but none of the ‘evidence’ that they’ve presented is more than hear say or he said she said from 40 years ago. Gutter journalism at its finest and it’s a matter of not being able to look but also not being able to look away to see what she says next.

More reviews of Shot In The Dark
So many cases in Australia of women killed by partners/ex partners and no-one brought to justice. This is a great podcast and let’s hope the truth comes out in the end.

Sadly I don’t think this podcast will give Gwen’s family any answers. The presenters are exaggerating discrepancies from witnesses for a tragedy that happened 38 years ago. Some minor discrepancies are repeated ad nauseum.
