Who’s story is it?
As an adoptee who found my birth parents over 20 years ago, I understand completely the longing and necessity of finding out who they are. Not knowing, and having requested information from the adoption agency, and realizing the person telling me this non identifying information had all the answers right there and I couldn’t see them, felt ridiculous and unfair. These DNA tests make what was once a really difficult journey so much simpler. Having answers, no matter what they are, completes the life of searching and wondering for adoptees. More and more often I also hear stories about men who have raised children only to find through one of the tests that they are not the biological father. Nothing can take away the parenthood of the people who raise and love the children they adopted. That’s the most important thing to remember.

This podcast has to put their ads at the beginning and end, and maybe once in the middle. You just can't break up the narrative flow this often, especially when it's such good narrative.Read full review »
