A beacon of sanity amidst all the twaddle - mostly.
I like this podcast, the range of subject matter it investigates is incredibly broad, and open minded in the true sense. It’s honest enough to amend any errors, is humorous, probing, and debunks a great many myths of both the modern and ancient worlds without the conclusions lessening any of the magic it is possible to feel at beholding actual reality, rather than the fantasies espoused by those of wishful, economic, religious, or prejudicial agendas. I think the episodes surrounding GM food production and the use of Roundup and artificial fertilisers don’t tell the whole story however - particularly the detrimental effect of modern agricultural monocultures have such as soil degradation and eventual desertification, an agricultural practice that not only impacts biodiversity but greatly reduces carbon capture - a deeper insight into these factors would be worthy of an episode. If only Skeptoid were as popular as Facebook, the world would be a much saner, happier, fairer and safer place.
