Will. Love your knowledge, insight and stories. But PLEASE let your great, interesting guests speak. Ask short questions and listen. Too often you’re talking over them, squeezing out their interesting perspectives and stories. Otherwise love the show. Cheers!

Bizarre the host does not know what the teams are before talking about the 3rd test, is not hard to research it for 1 min before going on

Fantastic show, great for true rugby fans!

Good guests but requires enduring torturous and irrelevant extended metaphors by WG
Ultragavros via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 08/04/21
How obtuse and arrogant can one man be to constantly interrupt his guests?! Just when the exceptional guests are providing excellent insight and about to reach the climax of their story, Will Greenwood cuts them off with a completely unrelated link to a story about himself and his exploits. The...Read full review »

He needs to say way way less. Listen to Tinder and Alex interview Jeremy Guscott or Will Carling as an example of how to do a good interview.

Lions podcasts are the best podcasts I’ve listened to. Greenwood obviously has the trust and respect of everyone on there because the guests really open up and give a lot to the episode. Lots of insight and laughs as well. Keep up the great work.

Saw the Bentley episode on Sky and found this by chance , thoroughly enjoying the catch-ups..

Will is a brilliant host and pundit but the sound quality is terrible. Echo and varying audio levels makes it a very difficult listen.
scoutscar via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 07/10/21
So good - the earnest chat between team mates brings a lump to a Lion lover’s throat. Beautiful.

A difficult listen. Usually I enjoy Will Greenwood podcasts and I thought AC was going to be a fascinating guest but Will interrupted him far too much and never let him answer a lot of questions fully. It sounded like AC was put off by this as well. I hope the series improves. It won’t let me...Read full review »

Love the podcast and eagerly await the download each week. But no sign of the WGP team since Christmas. What’s happening, guys?

Brilliant player but far too much waffle from Will who often asks click bait questions to his guests. Heavy bias from Rupert towards All Blacks & uncomfortable interview with Tom & Ben Curry, poor chose of questions with both guests in clear discomfort.

Lasted 5 minutes listening to this. Quite strange if I’m honest, every question or comment from Will is really peculiar, What have you been smoking son?
Gareth870 via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 11/08/20
From what was initially a good podcast it has in my opinion gone down the ladder and there are 2 far better pod casts out there Hosts are I’m afraid equally irritating in their own way

No Will, England can’t use the Barbarians as 2nd XV. Do we really care that the fully pro womens England team beat all the amateur teams? Wow, what an achievement? Really boring stuff. Plus ‘croeso cymru’ means welcome to Wales?!

Great to hear reference to Marxian economics thus affirming the range of thought offered from the podcasts. The programmes are analytic in the correct usage if the term: not disguised media speculation or opinionated punditry. For anyone interested in long form programming about the world of...Read full review »

Rupert, your totally wrong with your view that the Premiership should tell players to knee to show support for the BLM movement. How an individual shows their support is an individual choice and should be left that way. Some may even not support the movement and that again is their choice and...Read full review »

Love the pod. Great mixture of sharp insight, enthusiasm for our game and well crafted interviews. Will is always on his game - and so is the other guy. You know, what’shisname. He does half the work. If only his name was in the title...

Too many long winded waffled answers keep it shorter and lighter. Stop quoting from books you have read. I love the content I find myself just drifting off and forget what the question was asked to will by the time he has finished.

Even without the morning commute love my time listening to this podcast. Great podcast!

Whilst I enjoyed the podcast and it did provoke thought and awareness, my observation was all the panel had the same view. Would it not have been more inclusive to have panelist’s with a range of views specifically on singing Swing Low at England Rugby international’s?

Great athlete and coach but totally ignorant on USA politics and electoral system. He has no knowledge or experience on the subject and is obviously just watching left controlled MSM to form his opinion. Why spoil a podcast and his reputation giving him a platform to talk rubbish

Tabloid style interview questions for Finn Russell. Won’t be listening again

The podcast should about rugby. Ms Coleman is great but nothing about rugby. Why can’t we have interviews with current players like Sinclair, Farrell or Young instead of players from down under. Come on guys there’s no live rugby at the moment so you are our only link to rugby
Freddie 678 via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 05/02/20
Ok
Ok Podcast however too much about Will and Rupert - would love it to focus more/solely on the guests and not on previous games and story Will has from playing rugby 10+ years ago

I’ve alway been a fan of the analysis on the pod, but disappointing to hear you state that fingers were poked in the eyes of the french prop and that Jamie Ritchie was the catalyst running in. That was an arbitrary starting point as if you chose to dial it back further you would see a scuffle on...Read full review »

Will Greenwood is like the Tigger of Rugby reporting. Caught the Paul Gustard Interview which I really enjoyed as find him a really intersting character since starting at Quins. Good interview but felt, though probably given the time allowed, that more could have been asked about his career.

Rupert and Will have friction that makes for uncomfortable listening . Let’s get beyond the egos boys and back to the rugby
Lucky Londoner via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 02/07/20
Not the first time but by far the worst for how quiet it was. Turned the volume up to then get deafened by the ads.

Volume so low I can barely hear it. Sad, I love this show.

Unfortunately not a fan of Will Greenwood which is a shame as I thought he was a great player and enjoy watching him when he is on TV. I think you should rename the podcast and have it less about Will, the opening for instance is just hyping Will up. I find Rupert Cox is good to listen too but in...Read full review »

I really enjoy listening to this, some really interesting and insightful chats and information. There are lots of great guest and stories to compliment it even more.

Meh. It can be an alright pod. The host, Rupert Cox, is very knowledgable and steers the ship well. But Greenwood lets his own show down. He loves talking about the most anodyne of things, usually some book he’s just read about sports psychology or self-motivation or whatever. It’s narcissistic...Read full review »
