“Meh. It can be an alright pod. The host, Rupert Cox, is very knowledgable and steers the ship well.
But Greenwood lets his own show down. He loves talking about the most anodyne of things, usually some book he’s just read about sports psychology or self-motivation or whatever. It’s narcissistic and irrelevant, and not what we came here for. It means far too much time is spent talking about non-rugby topics, which is not the point of a rugby podcast. Also, Greenwood does this *extremely* irritating thing with his mouth: a kind of wet, moist ‘smack’ before every sentence, as if he’s chewing cud or something. For a radio show, this is painful, and often makes it unbearable to listen to him.
So: if we have fewer irrelevant tangents, and if Greenwood dries his mouth out a bit, it might be worth a hearty recommendation. Until then, there are better options available (cf. EggChasers, The Rugby Pod, even Brian Moore).”
