Gabfests are a tonic to all that is toxic out there
In recent months all of the news I digest just seems to leave me with tense shoulders, shallow breathing, and jangled nerves. Slate gabfests are something I still look forward to and drink up like a tonic to all that ails me in the media. Keep them flowing!

I just unsubscribed because all I get anymore is long talk shows, at least half of which I have no interest in. I will keep listening to the political gabfest, but where is the podcast for just Andy Bowers reading articles - that is what I would like to subscribe to. I preferred the format when it included few gabfests. Read me an article that takes five minutes, and I'm happy. I don't have time to listen to a forty minute conversation every day of the week, and I no longer subscribe.Read full review »
