This podcast is great, but for the host. He tends to overact and dramatize to a level that ruins the fun. True spooky stories told by the people they happened to in their own voice is amazing though. Skip the first 7 min and enjoy.

Great host with an amazing voice! Music is fantastic and the stories are so well curated and narrated! Just perfection! If you haven’t subscribed, get on that right now!

This show is so good!!! I love the host— the intros can feel a little silly at times but he sets up the spooky vibe so I wouldn’t change a thing. I appreciate hearing the actual voices of the people, because it makes everything more real and therefore more scary. It’s average people and reminds...Read full review »

The writing within these stories are amazing. And the music; excellent. Content is wonderful and narrator has ummmmm the sexiest passionate voice

So far I find the newest season to be full of some botched fake sounding tales. LOOOOVE the earlier seasons! The stories then were way more detailed and kept me listening on the edge of my seat! Hope there’s better stories or il cancel my luminary at the end of the month

I love this show! Every episode is a different delight.

If you love good storytelling about freaky things, this is the show for you. There’s a lot of scary content out there these days but Spooked does it best.

I’m a scaredy cat and usually can’t do horror related stuff, but these stories are so unique and cleverly told and the music/sound design is on-point!!

Oh my frightness i love this show!! The music and sound of this show is the absolute best and the stories are incredible. Wowee spooked forever!!!

There are no limits to how much I love this podcast. The stories are honest and intense. The host has a magic voice and he tells his stories and skepticism and belief all in one breath. Whatever this is, be here.

Really not sure how this pod does not have a 5-star rating?!? Honestly, I don’t mind the ‘$4.99 Complainers’…just reiterates the point that some ppl just don’t “get it” - prob never will. Shade aside, this whole pod (which boasts 1st person accounts), atmospheric music & effects add beautiful...Read full review »

From the incredible, host(!!!), to the amazing production, and I don't know where they find the storytellers -- this is content worth paying for -- TEN STARS! From minute one, Glynn had me screaming and hiding under my covers. Be afraid, and don't turn out the lights!Read full review »

I used to love this show. Seriously, I looked forward to it every year around this time. Now, I add it to the list of things I can no longer afford to listen to. I hate that us long time podcast listeners can no longer enjoy anything that we helped build without shelling out cash. I realize my...Read full review »

I really enjoyed this, but now I’m suddenly being asked to pay for it and use a different app. No thanks. You sure found a way to chase away listeners.

Congrats on your boy getting out of ICU! What’s REALLY spooky is that many never leave the ICU happily... There are many who “God” does NOT love! Many who live in pain & anguish until they die... Forgotten by “God”.
Lilmomma33 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 10/16/21
The show is pretty decent once you get to the actual stories - but first you’ll need to listen to 5 minutes of random words from the host that have no significance whatsoever. I recommend Radio Rental over this.
Samuel Reed via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 10/16/21
Fascinating stories but the host narrator’s voice is super annoying and distracting like he’s talking with something in his mouth, set against just irritating noise. Skip the first 6 minutes or so and the stories themselves are entertaining.
[email protected] via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 10/16/21
Hmm
Sounds like the host was In a cult… Pretty good but not as creepy and stories don’t feel as true like radio rental. Needs different stories beside constantly ghost only.

To be honest, I'd probably subscribe to this podcast if I could pay for just this one. But I don't want to subscribe to all these Luminary podcasts for $5 when this is the only one I listen to or have any interest in. $5/month isn't a reasonable price to pay for one weekly podcast. I love the story telling and Glen Washington as the best voice for this! Thank you! Soooo gooood!!

Some of these stories are so ridiculous it’s comical. This used to be one of my favorite podcasts, but it’s not good enough to download and pay for a trash app like Luminary to listen to it.
Seramarche via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 10/15/21
…until this update requiring me to join Luminary to access the new episodes. I get that podcasts cost money, and paying for some exclusive access to content seems fair, but not significantly limiting access to everyone who can’t afford it. Super disappointed.

Eh
Stories are too long and the host stories at the beginning are awful

Perfect campfire style storytelling! Glen Washington is amazing and so entertaining!
Arbuscle via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 10/12/21
Absolutely love the content. Just get past the first 2-5 minutes. No disrespect but it’s whole lot of babble before the actual stories. But other than that it’s great!

I have also had trouble getting episodes to play. Sometimes I stop them and they won’t restart. I am a subscriber. I down graded my original rating, as the problem persists. Will cancel my subscription after this season.

This show is amazing but they’ve put almost all of their content behind a paywall and the interface is now garbage and free episodes are hard to even locate. Podcasting has tripled its revenues in the past 5 years and is worth a billion dollars. Go squeeze someone else making a poverty wage for...Read full review »

I lean towards true crime podcasts but this is a nice and similar vibe! Host has a pleasant voice, which is hard to find sometimes! Definitely free & no extras needed on apple podcasts app. Thought that needed mentioning, saw a lot of whiney reviews.

Wish there wasn’t a repeat episode so soon in the new season. Just make the season shorter and play all new episodes?
lidia___011 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 10/08/21
These stories used to be really good. It’s worth the $5 if you binge all the episodes. But lately they’re getting really dull and not interesting to follow. Especially since they only put out 1 episode a week that’s 40 minutes at most. Save your money and listen to the free episodes they put out..

From real life true stories (told from the people who directly experienced the events! No cheesy retellings) to incredible original scores and sound design (and beats!), this by far is the most highly produced/complete scary story podcast out there!! I don’t need a THIRD app (Luminary) to listen to ONE podcast. What a shame that so many past episodes are now paywalled. I like this podcast but I’m not interested in any other Luminary podcasts, so I will not be paying for yet another subscription.

I wasn’t sure what I was getting into the first couple of episodes in. Paranomal stuff doesn't normally make me feel any type of way so I felt rather indifferent. OH. MY. GOD, can Glenn PLEASE stop telling his random, overly-dramatic stories at the start of the episode?? First few episodes were pretty good. After that it just became hilarious. Terrible storytellers with cringe worthy voices.

The storytellers need some instruction. The stories progress way too slowly with a lot of unnecessary verbiage. Get to the point!
