Wonderful life reminders

I’ve been trying to write a review for “So Lucky” since it started. I was already a fan of Dawn’s books, but this podcast has thrown me over the moon for her. As others have said you will laugh and cry, but even better you will feel connected. Dawn and her guests touch on so much many true life moments that make us grow, hopefully like ourselves more and stop lusting over what others have. Dawn, Thank You! “So Lucky” your book and podcast came around at a time that I desperately needed them. Thank you as well for introducing me to some other wonderful women and their podcasts i.e. Angela Scanlon, Sinéad Burke. Can’t wait for the next series!

This is the real real

I just discovered So Lucky last week. I’ve loved every episode so far. The guests are really great. The conversations are wonderful - honest, heartbreaking, fun, thoughtful. Honestly it’s been a treat to find this.

Excellence

Dawn O’Porter is a national treasure...in two countries! She has made a beautiful podcast here that is both serious and frivolous. It is intimate, and impactful. Like her writing, it is all heart. I would encourage anyone who lives in the realm of ideas, and the arts to give this podcast a listen. Real wisdom is bandied about between Dawn, and other artists who bear all the scars of true, hard-won wisdom. People who have done the work are here, and that is a rare thing these days...to encounter those who work. It’s a beautiful space she has made here. A place of reflection. It feels like a delicious eavesdrop to hear these interviews...the world is better, if only slightly, for the existence of all that lives here.
