Respectful and thoughtful
I am super surprised by the negative reviews saying host/narrator David Ridgin is pretentious or self-absorbed - I think this is the most respectful cold case whodunnit podcast I’ve heard. I deeply appreciate the way David works with the family members of the victims in such an inclusive and empathetic way. Some true crime podcasts feel gory and exploitative, I imagine for listeners who enjoy the mystery but don’t want to personify the victim or the family too much as that becomes more heartbreaking than fun. But that’s at the core of all this - something terrible happened and presenting the humanity behind it is what makes this podcast stand out. Thank you to the SKS team for your sensitivity, kindness and good old Canadian politeness as you approach difficult subject matter. Bravo!

Taking the time to do the research and collect data for cases like this is commendable. Great job.
