When vocal fry and uptalk collide…
Listening to Rachel speak on this podcast is like getting lost in a maze of vocal fry and… uptalk? She seems to have perfected the art of sounding perpetually unsure of herself? Every sentence feels like it’s desperately searching for approval, which makes even the most straightforward statements sound like a plea for validation? It’s hard to focus on the content when each word drags its heels like it has somewhere better to be, and the tonal rollercoaster ride keeps you guessing: Is this a fact? A question? A riddle? I’m still trying to figure it out? If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to have an existential crisis while ordering a latte, give this a listen?
