Makes her own Opinions without facts to back up
I love true crime podcasts and listen to a variety of styles. From Small Town Murder to the Murder Squad and even True Crime Sweden. One thing that those podcasts have in common is that they don’t make assumptions about facts in the case or about what happens in relationships. Unfortunately after listening to the very first episode about Dr. Rachel Maidens, I can’t include Southern Fried Crime in my previous sentence. From stating that even though both the police and the victim’s mother believes that the letter was a suicide letter, the host states that the letter wasn’t a suicide letter instead it was a way to blame the victim. She also states that the victim nagged her husband because he couldn’t keep a job, yet provided no facts to back her statement. I know other reviewers have said that she is a strong southern woman with her own opinions and that is all good. However a true crime podcast has a responsibility to not make assumptions and state opinions as facts when no facts are stated to support the opinions and assumptions. So if you like opinions thrown out with no facts stated to back them up, then this is the podcast for you.

From one Southern Belle to another this is a wonderful podcast. Thank you for tackling the Souths weird and torrid topics!
