Long and disingenuous
The Beatles episode was interesting but still a bit long winded. Then I listened to the very long first episode where the narrator brags about how he stole a song from a successful Caribbean band to make a one hit wonder song. He does not sound like some one who respects the art at all, but is instead only concerned with the popularity contest and money making aspect of music. It’s an interesting concept for a podcast, but the execution is poor and disrespects the art of music. I guess that’s to be expected from a big time producer.

So in depth with so many details and delightful music history detail. This podcast is my favorite. The research that goes into this makes it so much fun to listen to.

I absolutely love this! Listening from the UK. The detail is extraordinary and Steve’s enthusiasm for his subject matter is wonderful. There is so much to learn and I love the fact that there is the actual music in it makes you want to go away and explore. Bravo!
