“I watched the video regarding the age of the earth. He talks a lot about the "assumptions" of scientists, all the while he is assuming the earth is young based on a easily debatable (faulty in my opinion) interpretation of Genesis and the meaning of "yom".
I don't understand why it is so important for young earth creationists to bash tested scientific methods. Yes, the bible is the infallible word of God but mans interpretation of it is fallible. Instead of bringing the lost to Christ, through the message of his death and resurrection, many young earth creationists seem to think it is more important to argue the age of the earth, which causes major division... Sure God COULD have created the earth in 7 literal days but I do not think that is what the bible tells us and the book of nature supports the idea that "yom" is indeed a long period of time and not 24 hours. Either way the focus should be on Gods never ending grace and our need for it....”
