PLEASE LET THE SHOW SEE THIS
Hey there, Huge fan of the show and I was sharing the show with my coworkers and mentioning how I was learning about Latin mythology and the legends of Mexico and I mentioned La Lechuza, and both my Hispanic coworkers (both 55+) turned and grinned and wanted to talk. My coworker Veronica had a personal encounter in the 1990’s after just being married and spending time in the apartment complex/condominium of her her family. One night she was with her sister in law and needed to use the restroom, which was outside and among some trees. The sister in law refused amd told her to go alone, so V (Veronica) did . As she was walking she turned towards a tree after hearing some noise and saw Avery large bird, bigger than a turkey that was all white with red eyes that watched her. She passed, thinking nothing of the animal that most have been a turkey and returned home . Just as she came back, her sister in law needed to use the restroom and asked for company but V was just as petty and told her the same response to go alone. As soon as V was alone she felt and heard a whoosh( the translation was hard) and heard a scream followed by loud gunfire and profanity beating shouted in Spanish. The next day her sister in law was bruised and emotionally shaken The elders didn’t tell V what happened but she found out later on that the Bruja had no interest In taking her, that’s why she was left alone buy the sister in law had been taken many times and, many years later, died from wounds inflicted by the Bruja over time. Please let the Spirits podcast see this, I was told this story Less than 12 hours ago and had to share it and also boost the podcast I love.

Stories are the best way to really get to understand another culture. And while Spirits is on the whole a podcast made to entertain, it also provides a great gateway into learning about other culture's myths.Read full review »
