Started strong, but has lost its way
Steal the Stars started out with an interesting premise; an Alien in a governmental secret base the main characters are studying and experimenting with it's found technology. However, the story has quickly, as of five episodes in, become a romance / sex romp with less and less of the science fiction it promised early on. It has high production value and great acting, but it would be a lie to say the storytelling is keeping the hook it started with. It's also not helpful that every main character in the show is a overly jaded and not relatable. To a certain extent that is expected with a military cast, but it's caused me to unsubscribe, as I simply don't care anymore.Read full review »

I think the acting on this is so overly dramatic that it is almost kitschy. Too many characters. I was hoping for more sophisticated acting like Homecoming. Oh well. Otherwise a cool premise.
