Shallow analysis of pop culture on an epic scale
There was a discussion today about the decision to edit Roald Dahl’s books. Seemingly an important topic. Not on Stop Everything. The analysis is so thin it is risible. On the one hand we have Salman Rushdie arguing against censorship and amendment of an author’s text after their death and on the other hand we have Beverley Wang who was pursuaded by the views of her infant daughter. Views will differ but don’t Wade into the discussion if you aren’t prepared to think hard and develop an argument. If you are an ABC listener try Josh Szeps instead. At least he tries to grapple with the issue.
