I’ve noticed how anti-trans and pro-Tory this podcast has become in recent months. I’ve subscribed for 3 or so years but today decided to unsubscribe. Leaving my review as a parting gift 😊

The nursery episode is so relevant - I have 2 children in nursery and was so glad to see it being discussed. I had to turn it off when Manveen was speaking to kids and asking them about dinosaurs. Clearly trying to mix up the format but has lost some gravitas and rigour in doing so

What on earth is the point of of a podcast where the interviewer asks the interviewee a series of tame questions without ever pushing back on statements which are not true or need context? Hague was the start of the Tories decent into the gutter, Sunak it’s sad ending.

Two politicians who I rate. Two men dedicated to public service. But this chat added little. Hague feeding Sunak topics. No challenge. More Fox News and GBTV than exploration. If only Sunak sat down with The Rest Is Politics we would have seen challenge, debate and fire from Sunak. His...Read full review »

US drug problem. Fentanyl = ‘yellow peril’. The US medical establishment, US drug dealers, porous US-Mexico border, and Mexican drug lords who manufacturer the drug are all blameless. China is guilty for exporting the legal components (such as bleaching agents) They even go further and say that...Read full review »

I listened to several episodes, which were all on interesting subjects. All totally ruined by the Q&A format between two journalists. It is repetitive and really patronising. We will understand it without every single point being broken down!

Broadcasting “stories” about Kate’s whereabouts and photo tweaks, justifying it as news is embarrassing. How are you feeling now that you contributed into bullying her to reveal her cause of absence? To think the Times was once the gold-standard in news casting…

This podcast would be excellent were it not for the endless mispronunciation of common English words! On the Andes plane crash episode: I do wish the main journalist telling the story knew how to pronounce ‘fuselage’, it’s incredibly irritating as she says it incorrectly throughout! Similarly,...Read full review »

This is a story long overdue. It was delivered sensitively & also with honesty. My only criticism is that even though it is about sibling abuse, the referencing, language & narratives gave the impression that sibling abuse leaves female victims & male perpetrators. In reality it is in...Read full review »

Well deserving the five stars - excellent articles that give a real depth of analysis. Courageous too on the open market; there’ve been a two or three episodes where I looked at the topic and thought it might be a hard listen, it round have been so easy for them to not bother (of course you could...Read full review »

What an incredibly powerful interview with Liz Roberts. What a brave woman. And expertly interviewed with sensitivity.

Horrifically biased coverage of the IOF’s genocide of the Palestinian people. You’ve lost a listener and a reader for life. Shame on all of you, what a pathetic and violent use of your platform.

The journalism, editing and production are all great. Current favorite daily podcast

I don’t listen to every episode but when I listen, I like Manveen’s crisp, sometimes wry delivery, and the professionalism of the podcast. As a daily, it’s far better than “The Daily” from NYT.

Not one mention of Hamas and their responsibilities for the initiation of this war. As if Israel woke up one morning and just invaded Gaza. No mention of the 1200 Israelis slaughtered on Oct 7th. This is not journalism. Just propaganda. Shame on you .

Does Gen Z have a problem with Israel episode, …I can’t listen to the times anymore. Disgusting. Trying to make out having a pro palestine view is down to ignorance and an inability to understand the history, or trustworthy media. How insulting!!!!!!!!!! Does gen Z have an issue with Israel…. Is that a serious story???? Gen Z and every other generation should have a problem with genocide. Every generation should have a problem with the degrading and dehumanising occupation and arbitrary detention of an indigenous population…. What kind of...Read full review »

I don’t like the presenter’s delivery. It feels too grandiose, self important, over-acted. Too much “production”. Not enough content. I’m not sure wilders and meloni and le pen are any more “divisive” than Sunak, Hunt, Cameron or Starmer. Politics is about shifting sands - todays divider is...Read full review »

The episode reviewing Nadine Dorries’ book is ridiculous and really biased. Super off-putting. Shame on Stories of our Times. If her book was really that bad, there should be plenty to say about it in a normal way instead of mocking and putting her down. Embarrassing. I’ll be unsubscribing.

A generally very high standard of podcast. What a pleasure to listen to people who really know what they're talking about! This was a profound and emotive episode and thank you for sharing your truths. However, as someone who is neither Jewish nor Palestinian, I could not help but wonder: where is the voice of any Palestinian on your staff? Will they get an episode to reflect on how they felt at the start of all this...Read full review »

Israel episode from your writers was terrible. What is the point in offering a critique on something you’ve never even read and basing it upon the twitter discourse? Is the following true? I can’t see a promise from Britain in this declaration? It just looks like a show of support? From your podcast “The past century has seen the borders of Palestine and then Israel shift. From the Balfour Declaration in 1917 – when Britain first PROMISED a Jewish homeland”

This episode was absolutely fascinating. I had no idea of the extent to which large corporations and their executives either were complicit or ignored their own rules which enabled Epstein to traffic girls in this way. With the reputation of The Times, I was expecting great things. Instead the podcast is familiar progressive pablum of race, class and gender mutterings.
