What is the reason for this sudden and narrowly focussed squeamishness about lobbying? We’ve had Tony Blair and David Miliband lobbying for years and getting £multimillions back door government funding for their personal enrichment. .The list of dodgy businessmen who were successful in lobbying Peter Mandelson is legion. How do you think Richard Sharp got his unelected sinecure as Chairman of the BBC or his job “advising” Rishi Sunak? I conclude that you’re motivated by a personal dislike of David Cameron, not lobbying.

Episodes are variable, but content can be excellent - eg Aaronovitch on Covid conspiracies. But frequent, pointless, irritating music is distracting and annoying. Get rid of it all. It’s the words that matters - as the consistently excellent, consistently music free Red Box illustrates
