“This is an update to my original review.
I started learning Spanish in mid March and have been listening to the podcast since it started in August and am AMAZED how much both my aural comprehension and vocabulary has improved over the last 5 months.
The story is great and the daily practice of listening first and then reading leads to great advances in understanding conversational speed Spanish.
When I first started I found the podcasts very challenging and had to listen to them multiple times to pick up all the dialogue and I had to translate the text to get a lot of the detail.
Now I can understand the story in the first listen and get most of the detail on the 2nd/3rd listen. I still have to look up the occasional word or phrase in most episodes, but can understand 95% just by listening and the rest with reading the transcript.
Thanks Olly and Sofia for such an awesome way to improve your Spanish.
