“I went in to this podcast expecting a true crime podcast similar to Serial, and in the first episode it seems possible. But then you realize the true direction of the story and it’s a wonderful and heartbreaking surprise. Having come from a small town in a backwater myself, some of the experiences and voices hit me hard, but not as deeply as this story of a complicated and compelling man’s life. I loved it.”
