BTW 83: Queen of Cups' School of Art, with guest Diana Rivera

In the Queen of Cups tarot card, we see a Queen gazing intently into a lidded golden goblet. By the power of their attention and care, whatever is in the goblet is infused with magic. Like the sea itself, the essence of the suit of Cups is to ebb and flow. This Queen teaches us to pay attention to our cycles and rhythms. When this card comes up in a reading, something mysterious is rising up from the well of creativity inside you, called to new life. Our guest today, creativity expert Dr. Diana Rivera is here to help us take our creative powers seriously and bring our creative babes into being.

BTW 82: Knight of Cups - Finding Your Holy Grail - (Part 2) Mythologies of the Knight

BTW 82: Knight of Cups - Finding Your Holy Grail - (Part 2) Mythologies of the Knight

In this, the second of two solo episodes with host Amanda Yates Garcia on "The Grail Knight", we discuss the mythologies of the Knight of Cups. Specifically, we focus on the Celtic legend of the Grail Knight Percival, his travels through the Forest of Arroy (the Forest of Adventure), and his encounter with the Fisher King. We talk about the Well Maidens, and the Wasteland. We describe the pursuit of the Grail as one of the founding myths of Western Civilization, because it describes the desecration of the sacred, but also prophesies what medicine must be found in order to restore the world to right order. We give study questions, and also rituals you can use when themes related to the Knight of Cups show up in your reading, or your life. Join us!

Happy Travels 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Wow, I love Between the Worlds podcast!

In my heart, I have adopted this show as my big sister witch and mentor, who I’ve enjoyed many a cup of tea with while listening to the fresh and deep insights of magical interviews and beloved research dives with AYG solo-episodes (my favorite). Themes range from witchcraft, myth, tarot, activism, the erotic, and more deliciousness, while being fun and exploring subjects from an eco-feminist, queer, decolonial, and mythopoetic lens.

It has been such a pleasure to learn from Amanda and Carolyn, they are the dream-team and their membership community is lovely. As a listener, I’ve drawn countless inspiration and comfort from all the love and soul-work poured into this beautifully crafted production (shout-out to CPR). I’m grateful for all the enchantment being offered each episode; the wisdom feels timeless and every lesson shared is heartwarming. *chef’s kiss!*

I look forward to re-indulging with my journal at hand for note-taking! I’ve recommended BTW to my nearest and dearest, as well as artists, lovers of myth and the arcane, and anyone who enjoys a good time. The best way to learn more is by giving BTW a listen :)

Oh My Goodness

Amanda. Is so special. She is truly a Witch and works magic. The way she weaves her words, the way she understands the astrology like the back of her hand…. She is a living vibration, to me, of grandmothers and ancestors. And her somatic practice and real magical practice and spiritual practice is so apparent in how she ties it all together. I grew up Christian, and I am FEASTING here on this podcast (and via her amazing Substack) with SO, so so much gratitude. 🙏🏽 Amanda you bring life to my soul.

Great Content…Mostly

I love this podcast except for the political commentary. We get it shoved down our throats everywhere we turn. It doesn’t need to be here too.
