Used to Be the Best
I started listening to this show in 2008 back when my primary way to do so was on a laptop. I had to stop after the current hosts took over. I gave it multiple tries because I had really, really loved this podcast and learned so much. But I had to unsubscribe even before the ads everyone mentions got added. I have no problem at all with a liberal leaning and no complaint about pointing out the problems in the past. What I have a problem with is the judgy, holier that thou way these two will talk about listener comments/emails or people around them. (Also I wasn’t really a fan of the frequent mentions of how they don’t like kids.) It doesn’t really sit well to have two cis het white women preach at me about these issues in a performative way. It is time for them to cycle off.

The banter between the two is very 'put-on', with the same corny lines being used episode after episode. My biggest complaint is the lack of depth in most of the episodes. I think...Read full review »
