Submarine Sea Stories
As I listened to EP 1, my mind went back to my years spent on Carbonero SS 337 and Halibut SGN 587 out of Hawaii. These days there's not much occasion to talk about those pre-boomer cruises and nobody to talk to about it anyhow. But I sure enjoyed hearin my two fellow-bubbleheads swappin scuttlebutt about their experiences. I joined the Navy in 1974, and though women were not on submarines until recently, the stories of camaraderie, cruises, ports of call and general Navy life are heartwarming and really interesting. I really like the stories you have put up so far. I come from a long line of service family all my uncles were in the service but none were in the Navy so it is interesting to hear the Navy side Thanks a lot for your podcast. TDKidd
