Non-Navy Listener..... like stories from my old man...
My dad was a Corman based out of the Brooklyn Navy yard circa late 60’s. Due to his top 90% scores he was (highly suggested) asked to do a stint on a sub to see if he liked it. He was put on a diesel trainer, he was a “on the water” guy. I have many many stories and there are a couple books out there about his friends and his life. “The Last Pirate” is a good one he is in. He would tell me stories as a kid about his time in the navy and even his time working with Spider monkeys on special projects training them to plant bombs on ships (this failure led to the use of dolphins). The worst low level duty he had was trying to put these spider monkeys into small diving suits ( picture a mini-MKV helmet ), I was homered to meet his former boss as a kid and see these suits, helmets and listen to them catch up..... anyways, the pod-cast is great and It’s like listing to my dad tell story’s.... keep up the good work..... 🙏🏻
