I love this pod and its earlier incarnation, The World in Words. I’ve recommended it to many friends and coworkers too. Among all the important things to learn from the pod is the healthy reset of my view of the linguistic center, as a native english speaker from the USA. But it’s good...Read full review »

Truly an excellent show about langauge that touches upon not just the science but the human experience and connection with our world based on our brain’s main communication tool - language.

I have enjoyed this well-produced podcast and appreciate the absence of a caller segment. I despise call-in shows the way others are word averse! Kavita might benefit from examining why she is averse to some food/eating-related words; did she grow up amid hostility during meals? Or shame around...Read full review »
