Metal Assault Metal Assault is the result of Andrew Bansal’s love for heavy metal. The project started in February 2010. Andrew started his career in music journalism by reviewing shows he attended in the Los Angeles area. Andrew kept a prolific pace, reviewing over 200 shows per year. Andrew has as much love for legacy acts as the rest of us, but his proclivity towards the LA metal scene, new music, and bands on the rise is where his passion shines. As the project has grown, Andrew has been able to take on more challenges. He has grown past reviewing live performances to organizing them himself. On top of this, he is active in the world of PR, management, and record production. Metal Assault has helped bring fresh, new bands into the limelight. Bansal’s role with these bands includes organizing tours, recording albums, and getting their names out to the masses. A consistent stream of independent band mix tapes is also in the works for Andrew. The first two were released in August 2019 and January 2020. The third is expected to drop in August 2020.
