About Every Can Counts
Every Can Counts is
a partnership between can manufacturers, the recycling industry, and beverage brands. We are motivated by the fact that aluminum cans can be recycled infinitely, and our mission is to inspire people to do the right thing with empty cans, which is to recycle them. We achieve this by communicating the benefits of can recycling, and improving and promoting recycling systems
wherever we are.
Founded in 2009 in the United Kingdom, the Every Can Counts initiative is considered the leading program for promoting beverage can recycling in Europe and is currently active in 19 countries. The program has been active in Romania since 2012 and is coordinated by the Alucro Association.
During this time, we have enrolled thousands of organizations in the program and inspired participants at hundreds of events, but we always aim for more. We aspire to a 100% recycling rate in Europe. It is ambitious and exciting, but we believe it is possible. Join us on our journey and find out how we can work together to
make every can count.
