I appreciate the in-depth discussions that happen in this podcast, and the discussion of the County Championship as well as international (England) cricket. But I get frustrated every episode by the often rambling answers to often rambling questions. Difficult to shake the feeling that the...Read full review »

Always a good listen - but could Miller and Alan take turns hosting perhaps? Enjoy listening to both of them but would enjoy Alan being allowed to speak for extended periods just as much (maybe even more so…)

Every episode is of such a high standard. Engaging debate, educated discussion, the best cricket podcast out there

Sound quality on this podcast appears to be of bad quality
dudeperfect111 via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 06/08/23
Don’t know who the sound engineer is, or even if they have one. If they do he or she should be fired. Appalling sound. Sounds like only one person is miked up and you hear all his grunts and shuffles while struggling to hear the others. Unacceptable for the world leading cricket site.

I’ve tried three times to listen to the pod on the first NZ test, but it’s rambling gibberish. Is their an editor? A plan? A direction? Just one example - listen to the question raised @ 12.50 in. 55 seconds later…

Why in 2022/3 does one of your full time contributors sound like he’s “small man in a box “ COME ON!!! For goodness sake you are ESPNCRICINFO. Don’t settle for poor, inaudible content. 😫😫😤

A combination of poor sound quality and Miller’s ever more high pitched whine has finally rendered this unlistenable to me.

The most miserable and the best of all the cricket podcasts.
GrTG23 via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 03/17/22
Great analysis and a selection of pundits/writers is ruined by poor sound quality and an unbearable presenter who chuckles at every terrible question/attempt at a joke for no reason.
Pcop2 via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 09/14/21
My equal favourite cricket podcast (alongside the Analyst Inside Cricket). Always new discussion points and fresh perspectives. Butch is always extra insightful.
William Baldwin via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 03/02/21
Used to be the market leader, but outdone week after week by the Wisden guys these days. Butch and Dobell can still deliver, but Miller hasn’t made a coherent point in years....

Essential listening for cricket fans!
Serhan 515 via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 09/05/20
I look forward to this podcast. The host is always wryly amusing, and Butch and Miller are always worth listening to, Butch particularly. And it sounds a bit better than it did!
rblackbird via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 02/01/20
I find this cricket podcast to have some promise. The real problem is with Mr Dobbel he is soo biased and it’s hard to believe much he says. The concept is great but his involvement ruins the entire endeavour
Willwdj via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 12/02/19
I can’t really comment on the content as the sound is often so poor/quiet from contributors that it is literally unlistenable. What a shame.

I really like the podcast but please sort out the sound!

Generally a good podcast, sometimes lacks in personnel, always lacks in audio quality. Really hard to listen to.

Proper, expert analysis of cricket. A great listen for cricket fans of all forms of the beautiful game. 👍🏻

A good podcast but I can’t listen to it because of the dreadful ads.
Colonel Irrelevant via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 09/08/18
Sambit Bal is so irritating to listen to. This podcast comes under an unprofessional category rather than professional. Only standout for me is Butcher, whom I respect as a cricketer.
Leethelee via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 09/07/18
A well-balanced and expert take on the game from some of the games most respected voices. The Cricinfo journalists provide interesting and alternative viewpoints to the ex-players who consistently dominate cricket discussion in the mainstream media

A thoroughly enjoyable cricket round-up, and because of erratic scheduling you have the added spice of not knowing whether the next episode will be in a week, a month, a generation etc. BUT - this is an audio medium, so please can an organisation of ESPN's considerable resources invest in...Read full review »

I love this podcast for the insight provided by Mark Butcher, the Andrews McGlashan and Miller, and George Dobell (my favorite cricket writer). There aren't many cricket podcasts available in the US, so it's great to have access to this one. HOWEVER, I really wish they'd publish the...Read full review »

Usually decent journalist (Dobell, Miller) become cheerleaders on this podcast. One even suggested that Englands weakness is from 'having too many good players to choose from', yeah right. And don't ever expect an objective comment about Cook from Dobell.Read full review »

The best cricket podcast by a mile. George Dobell and Mark Butcher are the best cricket pundits around, I enjoy TMS/Tuffers and Vaughan but you get much better analysis on Switch Hit. The only problem is when they get someone on the phone from abroad and the sound is terrible, particularly if...Read full review »

I am a keen listener of switch-hit podcast and would like to thank everybody responsible for its production. Great content but the regular poor quality Skype links that break half way through a discussion are very annoying, ESPN spend some money on some old fashioned phone lines!!!

The panel give a good balanced view of International cricket from an England perspective. I like the balance of different opinions and the sense of humour.

Excellent pundits , good topics. Possibly a better product than the TMS product as its weekly, and not such an issue on time, as TMS gives a good days play update, it's always too late. Switch hit always hits the sweet spot of the bat !!!!Read full review »

A brilliant pod - only improved of late by David Hopps and the excellent George Dobell (Jonathan and Gnasher remain in situ and on good form). The guys know their stuff and care about the game.
