I found Switched on Pop highly accessible despite never having taken a music ed. class. The hosts have pleasing, animated voices (important), and a real understanding for the world of music. They reveal connections between lost tunes of the past and The Top 100 of today, peeling back the billboard curtain to show you the hidden tricks behind the pop music machine.
