“In the future, would it make sense to possibly move Shohei to the outfield and closer role to lessen the wear and tear on his arm? I realize a closer roll would create pitching back-to-back games wear and tear on the arm, but I believe he was “long term, starting pitcher fatigued” before the tear, versus the short-term ripping of a reliever. Would he suffer less, or a different type of fatigue on his pitching arm as a reliever?
Wouldn’t surprise me at all if he turned his focus to the outfield and became the best center or right fielder in the game. If he was playing center and then mafe the move to close out games, would that lengthen his ability to both hit and pitch deep into a long-term contract?
Also, please do what you can to have the owners fire Jerry Reinsdorf.
