Toxic Workplaces and What to do About It
Many of us have encountered work situations that don’t always feel inclusive, safe, or where we can be our authentic selves. It can at times feel like we don’t have the power to make a difference where we work. The truth is, with the right tools, resources, and support, there can be ways to start to make a positive change.
On this episode, we speak to Linet Mera, Ph.D., the Co-Executive Director of Calico Culture Strategies, where she leverages both first-hand experience and data-backed methods to build strategies and tools for organizations to build more inclusive workplaces. We also speak to Annette Angus, Ph.D., a microbiologist by training and a social activist by heart, who is passionate about building the type of work places where all people can thrive. Dr. Angus manages a team of scientists at The Clorox Company. Together, our panel tackles some listener submitted work situations and gives advice on how we can all play a role in building positive work cultures. We also explore when it might be time to tap into outside experts, such as Calico Culture Strategies. Learn more at www.calicoculturestrategies.org
