Podcasts were made for this - deep-diving into the making of great albums, hearing from the artist and their producers about their creative decisions, inspiration, sounds and tech they used. Often opening up their DAW and breaking down tracks. I have listened to some of these multiple times. John...Read full review »

This podcast is at its best when delving into the electronic world, Bicep in particular have been a stand out guest. Would love to see some smaller (but still big) electronic music artists and see how perspectives change (dennis sulta, mall grab, Salute). Lots of potential for follow up episodes...Read full review »

Absolutely love this podcast. It gets deep into the intricacies of what goes into a song while not losing an audience (me) with very little understanding of audio production. You start to listen to music differently. Can’t wait for more.

This podcast is a true gem. I love how it focuses so much on the creative process behind so many great albums and songs. Unlike other music podcasts, there’s no sense of ego or self importance from the interviewer. He just lets the artists speak and engages them with thoughtful questions. I also...Read full review »

Such a great podcast full of useful tips, deep insights, inspiration and relatable struggles. Production can be a lonely art at times so it’s wonderful to hear well-known artists and producers talking about their own ups and downs, trials, errors and happy accidents. Really enjoying this. Like Song Exploder but way more in depth. Really inspiring for me as a so so musician. And the presenter interjects sparingly, letting the musician and music do most of the talking. Classy.

A wonderfully enjoyable deep dive into the mind of jingle king Adam Buxton. I’ve loved Dr Buckles’ jingles since the Adam and Joe Show and this brought back lots of happy memories.

I listen to a lot of music podcasts, but this is my favorite. A podcast where musicians take apart their songs, and piece by piece, tell the story of how they were made... each episode looks at 3 songs off one album with both musician and producer.
