Of variable quality
This podcast has some excellent episodes, but it also has some rather poor ones. The quality very much depends on the calibre of the guests invited to speak about a particular Christie novel. I strongly recommend the ones featuring Laura Thompson, John Curran and Caroline Crampton, for example. Sadly, though, there are also episodes where the guest doesn’t really have anything interesting to say.

Unfortunately series 2 is a lot of discussion about everything but the Christie novel. I don’t know why they bother pretending they are discussing a Christie novel. Series 1 was much better.

I lasted two episodes and couldn’t go on. The host cant let a guest say more than three or four words without verbalising over the top of them: “mmm”, “yeah”, “hmmm”, “yeah”, “mmm”… It’s the most awful verbal tic that I can’t bear.
