Just binged the first three episodes! In the face of the new spending bill funding the genocide in Gaza, the illusion of our “democracy” is in crumbles. Your content is so important and very appreciated! Thank you, comrades!

Now that I buttered you up lol, Could you discuss the Smurfs being Communist? I heard it elsewhere and it was a decent argument for it, but I think this show’s take on it would be entertaining.

Sometimes clear-eyed, succinct explanation relayed in a humorous & eloquent way. Occasionally however they completely miss the mark and show a total lack of knowledge or engagement with a number of important movements

I’ve been listing while at work and honestly it’s opened my eyes to how broken the system around us is. I’ve officially joined DSA! And I’m proud to donate and help the movement!

If you are confused by socialism / communism / and want to know more, or have questions like so what really was “so bad” about Soviet Russia? Who were the Black Panthers and why don’t I know this already? What Broadway show should I listen to next??? Then this is the podcast for you 🥰 I also...Read full review »

I appreciate Christine’s role in this podcast as a fellow student and non binary person. Without them present, this podcast would just be a dude lecturing me on theory rather than a discussion between student and teacher with varying perspectives/insights

I love this podcast. It’s accessible for the novice yet detailed enough for people who think they know something about communism. Their dynamic is great. Neither host is pretentious but both are hilarious. I wish I had a teacher like Grady when I was in school.
Michael van Zalingen via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 01/23/23
If this podcast were all Grady, I’d give it 5 stars for sure. But Christine is too often “lost”. I think that slows down the podcast and gives too much of a “cutesy” feel to it. I don’t dislike her, she just doesn’t add much value to the pod.

I have been a communist for a long time. I have recently switched to socialism. This podcast is amazing. But some episodes just don’t seem to show what happened under Stalin. Other than that, it is great!

A Leftist podcast that succeeds in keeping my full attention. Straight up socialism. The Boots Riley episode has me hooked. How have I lived this long without ever hearing The Coup?

I started listening to the podcast this summer, looking for any idea on where to start in theory, and I've been hooked ever since! I've been binging, starting from the beginning and i'm currently on episode 40, so nearly half through! I'm in Canada myself but live in Alberta which...Read full review »

I cannot even begin to explain how much I’ve always wanted to understand communism but never had any patient mentor/resource to explain it to my dumdum brain. This podcast does that and now when friends talk about Marx I can be like “yeah brother proletarians have nothing to lose but their...Read full review »

I have been looking for an easy way to learn real history and economic theory for so long and find this podcast so incredibly helpful, funny, and down to earth. As someone in their mid twenties who lives to question why we live under a society that doesn’t work for the masses - I think this podcast is fantastic. I’m glad that there are likeminded people putting the commie message out there.

As someone always interested in learning about new topics, I love the five minutes of academic content in every podcast. As someone always interested in learning about new topics, i can’t bear all the cutesy, cutesy sibling chit chat. Ick.

This podcast is what set me down the road to be a communist. It’s so good and anyone should give it a listen (it’s very informative, but in a relaxed, chill environment). It gives me something great to listen to while I stock shelves

I live in Wilmington, NC hand have been listening to Teach Me Communism for around a year or so. I resonate a lot with Christine’s palpable passions for revolution and their understandings, despite gripes when it comes to historical figures or movements. I’ve been listening to all the episodes at work, I’m a little over half way through. This episode is a great overview and jumping in point. This is by far my favorite leftist podcast. Unlike many other podcasts of this type, the folks over at Teach Me Communism have fun and take on serious issues and heavy history with a great sense of humor and don’t take themselves too seriously. I’m not interested in podcasts that claim to have...Read full review »

Been listening to your podcast when out for walks. Really love the interaction. Grady is a good teacher, clear and informed (although occasionally I think he gets a detail wrong). Christine asks good questions and is very funny. Nice job!

Truly love this podcast. I’ve been wanting to dig into the details of communism for a long time but the amount of reading and research was daunting. Listening with my 11 year old son and the woman’s incessant and kind of juwvenile employment of the f word to pad out sentences is really irritating. Don’t get me wrong I’m pro sweating! However it’s fine inarticulately and lacks impact so it’s just a continual irritant. I’m just worried it’s a...Read full review »

I want to begin this review by saying unequivocally that I am not a fan of capitalism, and when I found episode 12, What Was Life Like in the Soviet Union, I was hoping to hear a more fair-sided assessment of the subject than one normally finds in the Western media. I don’t know why it took me so long to write a review, but I adore this podcast and these comrades. I send episodes to my borderline-radicalized friends to speed their journeys along. Information is clear and digestible. …and from one comrade to another, Grady has a very nice voice 😅
exarves via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 11/15/21
It’s an interesting podcast with well thought out topics and well researched. Grady is well spoken and very articulate, really enjoy when he speaks. Christine should stop swearing every now and then, it is extremely disruptive to the conversation. Enjoyed listening.

Yeah, the conversational style can feel like fillers, and in fact I was avoiding this podcast when my goal was still to cram as much information about communism as possible because it felt like a waste of the few minutes I had to spare. It’s always nice to see people educating others on Leftism. However, they rarely if ever mention or consider Western Imperialism and its exploitation of the rest of the world and how it ties into Leftism. Also MLs stay away unless you want to have an aneurysm.
