Apple, Google and Microsoft are all taking a major step to get rid of passwords. The tech giants announced they’re expanding support for a password-free sign-in standard from the FIDO Alliance and the World Wide Web Consortium. Meaning you’ll soon be asked for verification by your fingerprint, face scan or a PIN by most platforms and devices instead. Could an autonomous F1 race be in sight?
