Could use a couple tweaks
This is an alright show, but some of the stuff seems gimmicky. I would prefer a studio format with intermittent live shows. The audio has a slight echo, and the audience laughter takes away from the content. The "live fact checker" is totally unnecessary. By using a studio format, there would be no need for the constant checking on tape, because they could fact check the emails beforehand. The comedian as a panelist seems token and unfair. Instead of making mediocre jokes next to professionals, they should be able to prepare good jokes (like they would in a studio show). The other panelists seem annoyed with the jokes, and I am as well. The finale made me cringe. Instead of giving interesting facts, the panelists give obvious facts (solved by preparation in a studio environment). I'll listen for a couple more episodes, but it's frustrating to listen to all of the filler. The concept is cool, but the execution is awful.Read full review »

Live audience, game show format, intellectually stimulating. Nice job!

I found the podcast to dumbed down American version of UK's QI (Quite Interesting) and its spinoff podcast: "There is no such thing as a fish". Both are wittier and have far more interesting factoids. I strongly recommend Dubner to listen to their podcast before sending out this mess...Read full review »

This is great; who doesn't love a good random fact or two? Enjoyed Freakonomics a ton, so happy to see that they're branching out. Looking forward to see the producers take this.Read full review »
