Yesterday as I drove away from a video shoot I started laughing. Who would have thought that 14 months of unemployment would bring me so much joy. Why? Because I'm not doing what I'm "passionate" about, I'm doing what gives me joy.  The root word to passion is "pati" which means suffering, or enduring. The origin of the word comes from the sufferings of Christ on the cross. Here's the deal. He already suffered and died on the cross why would I want to do the same.  How does someone, who's been unemployed for more than a year, find joy in life? By doing what I was created and designed to do. It's such an incredible feeling when you are fulfilled by doing activities in your life that bring you joy.  Credit cards haven't been paid in a year, credit score is who knows how low . . . and none of it matters.  You can find that type of joy as well if you look for it.  Being passionate about something is overrated. Trade your suffering for joy.
