Been listening since the beginning. The pod’s changed a bunch trying to land its footing and vibe from then til now. Lately it seems to be less about the music and more about the guest, like it’s just another typical podcast. Lots more schtick as opposed to thoughtful dives into the albums, lately as well. And the episode on RATM’s self titled debut - a monumental and still highly relevant record - reduced to a guest who knew them as a “Tony Hawk band” and a bunch of generic “blah blah blah” from a couple of suburban white dudes… lol. Came off more as a softball PR episode for the guest rather than a celebration and insightful look into the music. The show energy as of late feels like it’s getting a little stale and complacent. The passion doesn’t feel like it’s there anymore.”
