“I love Al Franken. I read all his books as they came out, I’ve contributed to his campaign and I listen to all his podcasts. Some of his schticks grate and the ads on the podcast are beginning to go on a long time. He’s had some great guests but it will be harder to get serious people in the future if he treats them like he did Joyce Vance. Sometimes he needs to act like a Senator, not like a comedian. He got shafted out of the senate because of some of his over-the-top celebrity behavior. Wonderfully talented guy and very intelligent (a tragedy he’s not still in the senate) but to remain viable as a force for good he’s got to be reminded of sensibility.”
