Description
A lesson learned from my travels that has really stuck with me is that I have much to be grateful for! I've seen first hand what poverty looks like in developing countries. Where the environment can be harsh and the resources scarce. This was especially the case while I was living in The Gambia, West Africa during my Peace Corps service. It goes without saying that it was challenging to live there. However, I was able to make it through just fine because my basic needs were met. Mostly because of the kindness of my host family. This led me to seek gratitude, even in challenging situations. A practice that I continued upon returning home to the US.
In this episode of Travel Reflections, I share a couple of instances from my Peace Corps service that led me to become more grateful for the things that I have in my life. I also go over a couple of strategies that you can implement so that you can also practice gratitude in your own life!
