A voice to my thoughts and a calming presence
I sat in the middle of the floor while stroking the cat of the people I am babysitting while listening to this podcast. As I listened I was reminded of how amazing it is to be alive. How beautiful our world is and why I should keep living. As I listened to John’s voice I found a sense of calm wash over me. A calm I have not felt in a long time due to exams, anxiety and an overall period of depression. John’s ability to describe the wonders and beauty of the world calm me in ways even the best guided meditation cannot. The topic of Canada Geese: I am a native of Canada and every year the flight of the birds north or south mark the passing of time. The change in who we are as a species and a people. They story of the geese and your review John of them John and eye opening and beautiful. I believe I will look differently at the animal whose song sounds like a dying balloon differently come the time the snow melts. Dr. Pepper: I do not drink pop very often and scarcely have Dr Pepper but everything you said was true. There is no one flavour to the drink, it truly is everything and nothing at the same time. The self destructive behaviour and need for it is one which I engage in but didn’t know the words. Thank you John for once again giving voice to my thoughts. Just as you did with Turtles All the Way Down and your Vlogbrothers videos. Sorry for the rambling. John your voice is beautiful and calming like a sunset over a lake. Thank you for this amazing new podcast and I look forward to the next one! DFTBA!! Kate

What’s not to love? It’s more John Green! It’s witty, it’s humorous, it’s relatable. It takes you on wild tangents you never considered exploring, and yet always knew you needed to. Okay that was a little dramatic, but seriously, this podcast is fun and definitely worth a try. Keep up the amazing...Read full review »
