Worth the listen!

This is an intriguing story. It goes to show how gullible we can all be, then experiencing the disappointment of reality. Something I think we can relate to.

This was an anticlimactic series of cliffhangers. Perhaps it would have been an interesting story if told in a single hour podcast format. I am a Dr. Death fan, this is not that.

Whether a true crime story or not, it definitely kept me interested. The story is well put together and has a great flow. Easy to listen to and the narrator has a pleasant voice. Thank you for sharing your story.

Wish it had been longer! Wow. Amazing storytelling of her life with Allan and his obsession with Apology.
Emmes101 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 09/03/21
Marissa Bridge is an amazing storyteller and host. I love that she has shared Apology with the world, and I would love to hear more audio of these callers as well as other work Allan has done. Keep it going please!

I quit listening when, in episode 1, the podcast went into detail about the personal life of the maker.

Is it just me?? I can’t get episode 3 to play with sound! I’m loving the podcast, but I can’t skip an episode. :( help! What do I do?

Was super excited after the first episode but really tapered off. There was not much of a story, certainly not true crime. Kinda felt like a waste of time in the end

I thoroughly enjoyed this podcast but would love to know more about Marissa in the years after Allan’s death. Great presentation and production 👌🏼

Is this not exactly what Catholics’ sacrament of reconcilliation is except without the forgiveness?

To start off this is definitely a HISTORY/BIOGRAPHY podcast NOT True Crime. The only thing true crime is criminals and “serial killers” who may or may not have committed their crimes. I also agree with the other reviews that say that it is much too dragged out. Putting up with him is also only...Read full review »

WOW!!! This has to be one of the most interesting podcast I have ever listened to. This story is so intense. They say “fact is stranger than fiction “. This story proves it. From the first episode to the last, super engaging. Highly recommend

This show promotes my inherent curiosity and interest in the human experience. It shows the vulnerability of individuals highlighting our basic need for connection and our need for redemption. It exposes the dark side we all contain but at its extremes. There is a level only a few are afflicted...Read full review »

Meh
I wanted to love it, the story started out fascinating. But the narrator (although I understand wanting the POV of the wife) is just grating. Her straight out reading off a script is just too fake sounding.

Loved every minute of it. Very interesting story, well told and produced!!

I am always searching for a great podcast! This one blew my mind! It was shocking in the beginning and all the way to the end! At the end though, I was crying like a baby! Powerful yet heartbreaking!!

Not a fan of Wondery’s brand: drawing out a story into a much longer series than necessary, blasting it with ads every few minutes. The story is fascinating. Wish another company produced it. Edit to add: The complete irony of how The Apology Line ended.. -Spoiler maybe- Paywalling the...Read full review »

This podcast is fine as a slice-of-life observation, but there is no mystery, no crime. It is clear very early on that “Ritchie” is not actually a serial killer, but is punking Alan and the listeners of his show. So why spend so much time on him? In addition, Alan isn’t a very sympathetic...Read full review »

Loved The Apology Line and like the apologisers/ callers, I was mesmerised by Alan, the artist. There is suspense a plenty and while not a typical true-crime podcast, it toed the line enough to keep this true-crime podcast listener hooked on every episode. Like with all great podcasts, I missed...Read full review »

One of the most interesting podcasts I’ve listened to so far. Very unique in its content and keeps you wanting more. The delivery and structure are perfect for listening at work so you don’t get too distracted but you’re still invested.

I really enjoyed the podcast, what a unique idea that had many twists and turns. Thank you for sharing this with us, you tell a great story well done.

This podcast started off really good, but then it tapered off at the end and lost a lot of its intrigue. It’s also hugely dramatic in its delivery, which I think made it less believable. Four stars for the beginning, two stars for the last couple episodes.

This is such a great an unforgettable pod cast I’ve had trouble sleeping so for a few months now I listen to these stories and fall asleep and it’s working so well I was sad there was only a few episodes I hope they make more also I really love your show and I wish I could meet mr apology but my...Read full review »

The start is great and the notion of the apology line is unique. It really gets terrible when they try to make his death a whodunnit.

I really enjoyed this podcast. It turned out different than I had expected, which is a very good thing. Wish there had been more episodes, but I value the succinctness of the series.
